How to compare your options
Write the access schedule backward from the final cleanup deadline. An hourly room that seems inexpensive for a four-hour party may need six or eight paid hours after loading, setup and removal. Ask whether the ceremony and dinner can share one layout; reducing a room flip can save time without reducing guest enjoyment.
FEEHQ BUDGET ILLUSTRATION
Six hours at Borden Building
- Six resident-rate hours × $150

The same six hours at the published nonresident rate total $1,350. Both figures exclude any additional outdoor reservations, staffing, deposits, food or equipment.
Questions for your Raleigh venue
- Which address and documents qualify us for the resident rate?
- Do setup and cleanup count toward our rental hours?
- Is the outdoor ceremony area a separate reservation?
Ask for one written total
Have the venue separate rent, required services, food and beverage minimums, service charges, tax and deposits. Confirm which payments reduce the final balance and which are extra. Request the cancellation, weather and overtime terms with the quote.
If coordination is included or required, compare its scope with a wedding coordinator or day-of coordinator before hiring additional help.
