A 28-day supply is four weeks, not a calendar month. Thirteen such fills cover 364 days, so a budget using twelve fills would cover only 336 days. The refill discount also has a timing condition: compare the regular price as well as the offer price. Never change a prescribed dose or treatment schedule to obtain a discount; ask the prescriber and pharmacy to explain the appropriate refill arrangement.
