How to compare this option

Keep the dosage form on every price comparison. A tablet bottle and a box of weekly pens do not represent the same number of days or the same treatment. For later fills, replace introductory pricing with the applicable ongoing amount. If you have insurance, request your actual pharmacy charge before comparing it with a self-pay offer; a savings advertisement does not establish your personal copay.

Questions to ask before paying

  • Does the quoted price match my exact formulation, strength and supply size?
  • Do I qualify for the new-patient offer, and what happens after it expires?
  • What will my clinician charge for follow-ups and prescription renewals?

Request itemized answers rather than assuming an unlisted charge is included. Confirm your treatment with a licensed clinician; the least expensive advertised offer may not be clinically appropriate or available to you.
