How to compare your options
A smaller base rental is useful only if the facility permits the celebration you intend. Ask for a room list, approved dinner layout and a written plan for furniture setup and removal. If the event spans ceremony and reception, make sure both uses are included rather than relying on a generic hourly room quote.

Questions for your Sonoma venue
- Which wedding activities, rooms and beverages are permitted?
- Who supplies and moves the required furniture?
- Is the cleaning/damage deposit refundable, and what deductions are possible?
Ask for one written total
Have the venue separate rent, required services, food and beverage minimums, service charges, tax and deposits. Confirm which payments reduce the final balance and which are extra. Request the cancellation, weather and overtime terms with the quote.
If coordination is included or required, compare its scope with a wedding coordinator or day-of coordinator before hiring additional help.
